This is just the beginning for the Naval Base site. When all is said and done this area (Coastal Bend) will have approximately 2500 new jobs.

Yea yea yea....

I was making the commute from Corpus to Ingleside for 5 years every morning... and it sucked badly. I don't think that this will bring students to Ingleside to live.

I also don't think this is very exciting. They should develop that land into an attraction of some sort.

Hell, I could move to Houston, get the same training, pay lower taxes, and deal with similar comuting nonsense.


I also think it's kind of funny how this came about. TX A&M gets a contract to decide what is done with the Land. Delmar gets Texas State involved... now all 3 universities are banking on taxpayer dollars. At least they are apparently using Lottery money for the grants....I hope.
