Week 0 @Bridgeport -Tough one to call, Dont know what they have left and we look to be much improved from last years team.
Week 1 China Spring- Another tough one but by going on history it could be a loss.
Week2 @Mineral Wells- Win, although another close and hard fought game
Week3 Gatesville Win Again game was back and forth last year and could be the same this year.
Week4 Castleberry Win, Should be an easy one but who knows
Week5 bye
Week 6 @Venus Win,
Week7 Kennedale, Loss, but could be a win with us playing at home,
Week8 @West should be a win but after last year who knows.
Week9 Hillsboro Win
Week10 Alvarado- Loss but should be a better game and like kennedale it could work into a win.
SO to sum it up
Could go 2-3 first half or 5-0
District the same. I will know more after the two scrimmages and will change predictions acordingly

I see us taking Tatum...two years in a row? I am a homer but I too try to keep it real. The Bucks could very well suprise everyone. Jacksonville could give us some trouble...we are at the Tomato Bowl this year. I agree with Henderson. I think that will be our biggest challenge. After all, our nose guard weighs 120# (not a typo), just a beast...he will be a real problem for the middle of the O line. (Don't laugh...think Dokota Cannon)

luckily all of our opponents from last year lost a bunch, so unless barbay alternates a bunch with the rbs like he did last year in nondistrict games, we should be able to realistically run the table, barring major injury, of course....k'ville on their field the first game would be scarier if they hadnt lost their all world rb, their qb and that wr that ate us up last year.....huffman and their passing offense will be breaking in a new qb and two all state honorable mention wrs that graduated....crockett has the most back from any team playing us close last year in the first 10 games and that was the first full game back last year for gilbert after injury and he didnt play much....

combining what we bring back this year with an undefeated jv, and what everyone in our schedule lost, our first 10 games are tough, but all realistically winnable.....

Should have some good talent coming up to go along with the guys y'all are bringing back. Is there any way Coldspring could go D1?

We have way too many under classmen this year. Our JV went 9-1 only losing to oYe. Add the fact that we have a first year starting qb, who I may add, is very talented. I would like to wait to see how well and fast the '11 Rattlers can gel. This may be a "down" year for the Rattlers. Then again, last year was supposed to have been a down year too and we lost in the Reg III Div 1 finals.

nope, only one school in the district smaller than us, and they havent made the playoffs since dwight eisenhower was president....seriously, not a joke....the only "if" about us and playoffs is usually whether we catch wo-s in the first round or the regional finals....as long as we win our district we usually dont face them until 4 games in.....

Glass half full ....

Vernon -win
Monahans - loss
Levelland - win
Early - win
Midland Greenwood - win
Midland Christian - loss
Abilene Wylie - win
Big Spring - win
Snyder - loss
Brownwood - loss

Finish 6-4 and hope that's good enough for a playoff spot.

Glass half empty ....

We lose to both Wylie and Big Spring again, finish 4-6, miss the playoffs for the second year in a row and begin looking for a new HC.

WC has a tough one against 4A Brazosport to start the year, while breaking in a new QB. LaGrange gave us fits last year (mainly with a little trickery and Us having no answer for Wilkerson, but with him gone, and a better defense, I think we get past them). Sweeny is always good for a tough game, but I think WC gets the edge again this year.

So with those 3 tough games, WC will likely be 9-1. Could be 10-0 depending on Bport (I have no idea what they have coming back from the team that beat us last year) but definitely not worse than 7-3.

I'm gonna hold off on predictions until I see Abilene Wylie scrimmage Monahans next week. From what I hear the pieces are in place for a good team...and more than one kid that can play QB.

If they were going to lose any games, it would be to one or both of them. I wouldn't worry too much about Brazosport, they will be young. Maybe Bay City gives us another good game. They return their QB and he gave us some headaches last year before he got injured. I say 9-1, possibly 8-2.

Nov. 4, BOERNE * =WIN

We have the team to go undefeated into the playoffs but we could also go 8-2 or 7-3 if we get snakebit with the injuries like last year. Our first game will go a long way determining just how good we are this year. Even if Cuero is without their star RB, they always have someone else ready to step up to fill that spot. Drippin always plays us tough and we have to go there this year. Sealy will be out for blood after last years wild finish which saw their coach ejected and escorted off the field by law enforcement officers. We go into their house and I'm sure there will be a playoff type atmosphere for this one.
In district we could stumble against Canyon Lake, Geronimo, or Boerne but I don't see that happening if we stay healthy.
We'll have a better idea just how good we are when tommorow's scrimmage against 4A Marble Falls and Lehman is over.

Man, I really have no clue what WO-S' record will be. We have 5 back on offense including our QB and RB and we have 8 back on defense to go along with a JV who's only loss was to 5A PA Memorial. But, we also are breaking in a new offense and have completely abandoned the spread, it appears. We didnt look great in our first scrimmage against a so-so 4A. Although the defense did hold them scoreless in the half we played.

Honestly, we could be 4-1 in pre-district or 1-4 very easily. We could be 5-0 or 3-2 in district. BC and Silsbee looked pretty tough in their first scrimmages. Right now, I will say 7-3 with a possible adjustment after Thursday. Vidor has a bunch returning from last yr and it's supposed to be a 4 qtr game scrimmage so I should have a better idea then. Last time we played Vidor when they had a bunch returning they kicked us around pretty good.
