He is doing great! Thanks for asking. He is not released to do everything although he thinks he should :) He is doing everything except run hull and linebacker drills where he would have to take on blockers with his hands. He is probably doing about 90% of the drills. He is on target for the 26th when we go to Decatur.

hard to make a kid understand you have to miss now so you dont miss something that matters

Exactly but he is really being a trooper. If this had happened to him as a sophomore or junior it would be harder to keep him in check but he understands that the goal is to play beginning Aug 26th not Aug 5th :)
To be sure that he is getting his conditioning, any drill that he can't do right now, he goes to another group and jumps in with them. As an example, when we go to run hull (he is the starting middle backer) he goes over to pass hull and works on pass coverage. That way he is getting some valuable coaching AND even more valuable conditioning.

Who made their reputation today OM?
Our olinemen are beast and all of them had their way against the defensive tackles during shot gun alley they are nasty. Also we got a move in this week from Frisco he is an olinemen 6'6 270, he was at practice today but did not participate. From what I understand he is good and could be moved to LT moving Jake Lavey over to RG and that would allow LG Ross Wisdom to move over DT. Of course the is all speculation at this point I just over heard some players talking about it. If he does start our smallest oline will be Lavey and he came in at 6'2 270. Looks like Collin Clark is gonna be the tightened he has put on some muscle and I would say he is around 200 lbs and 6'5. Got some big hogs up front.

So, is Jake Raulerson over 250 these days? I know he is tall at about 6'4" or so but I figured him to be 245- 250.

Yes he is I got to talk to him the other day and he said he was 250. I thought he was bigger than that even, he is a beast and burned up the weight room this off season and it's pretty obvious.
