That is sad. I remember DJ running up and down the field on my Royse City Bulldogs in 09 Bi District.

This was certainly a waste of football ability. I saw D.J. play a few times and he was a truly outstanding football player but that is where it ended. After signing his LOI to attend A&M, he got busted for breaking and entering and the Ags pulled his scholarship, even before he graduated from HS. My oldest son knew him and said that he was a scary guy. If he did even half of the things that my son tells me that he did, he was well on his way to spending most of his life in the pen. I do, however, feel bad for his family.

Rumor around Texomaland is it was a drug deal gone bad.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Usually, people don't go around shooting broke college kids for no reason.

I am sure that is right. The authorities have 1 suspect in custody and are looking for at least 1 more.

Looks like is former teammate at Denison will be out a while as well. Good luck to him.

And in contrast to D.J. I never heard anything negative about Jordan Taylor...good luck kid.
