That's got to suck big time. It's too hot to sleep so you go jump in the pool to cool down but of course jumping in the pool makes you wide awake so you STILL don't sleep............ Hope they get it fixed for you.

My Dad's went out the other day. But he kept it 80 in the house anyways. I got to where I couldn't handle being at his house he kept it so hot.

When it went out I told him, "At least it won't get any hotter IN your house." :)

Ours went out a couple of years ago, my dad brought us window units...those saved our lives. Our AC went out AGAIN, we need to replace the thing, so thank goodness I kept those window units. I will always have at least one on hand, just in case I need it.

92 degrees in my house would mean I'd be staying in a hotel room for the night. Lol

The A/C went out at our house in '05. We stayed at a local motel overnight because it was going to be the next day before it got fixed. It went out again in '07, so instead of paying for a motel room for a couple of nights, I went and bought 2 window units for about the same price as the motel stay. It turned out to be a good investment because it went out AGAIN in '09. We just put the window units in again for a couple of nights and survived. I still have them in my storage building just in case that happens again. My brother even borrowed them when his A/C went out.

Ours went out last summer. Went out on a Friday, our a/c guy couldn't fix it until Monday. That meant staying at the in laws all weekend. It was horrible.

I would of grabbed a floatie and slept in the pool. If I can sleep in the pool with the sun beating down on me, I bet I could sleep great without the sun.

Glad things were fixed timely.

I've spent most of the morning watching a system below Cuba. It is looking more and more like this could be our saviour for the Texas drought.

I hope you're right...not a hurricane but a nice tropical storm would be welcome.
