No thanks, enclosed NFL stadiums are fine but I vastly prefer open stadiums for everything else. It wouldn't be high school/college football if you weren't wearing shorts/t-shirt for the first part of the season...and then full arctic expedition gear near the end.

I like out door stadiums also but during this heat I wouldn't have a problem with the game being played inside. Besides it would be kinda cool to see a high school team play in a dome.

I'm really surprised more schools don't have this stadium it can accommodate many different functions, seats up to 9,000 people and the cost is pretty cheap at around $20 million.

Well I've seen them in a professional dome, but to actually have your stadium as a dome I think would be cool. I still like out door games better but in this heat and on the rare occasion it thunder storms the dome would be great. Allen isd should go ahead and add a retractable roof to their new stadium.

According to that article, the dome stadium in Arizona is the one and only HIGH SCHOOL stadium with a dome.

I could see a school district with multiple high schools build one of these eventually. The schools that share stadiums. You certainly could do a lot with it.

I would think that if you have large school districts like that, you would need more than 8-10,000 seats

I'm sure you can get it bigger, but I don't know where you can get a stadium for around $20 million with all this included.
4 concession stands
4 team locker rooms
2 Sports Trainer rooms
Restrooms
Weight Room
Conference room/class room/teaching
8 coaches offices
More than 3,000 square feet of storage space
seating for 8-10,000 people
Laundry and uniform area
4 waiting rooms (small lobby-like)
Sky boxes
TV Platforms
