He wasn't, the son says the producers thought it would add to the show. The thought of Jerry being a Ranger is pretty funny.

:thinking:We just discussed the same thing in our office. Oh well, I heard he had a run in once about some cattle rustling maybe thats where he got his Texas Ranger experience.

Still looks like an intersting show to kill time with.
