State Championship Games??

Will the 5a,4a state championships be held this year??

All 5A, 4A, and 3A state championship games will be held at Cowboys Stadium again. Next year, who knows? I'm hoping they keep all of them at Cowboys Stadium annually.

Any chance they do a weekend pass? Instead of having to pay $15 for each day.

The only thing I didn't like was having the 3a D-1 and D-2 split weekends. I'm not sure what the answer needs to be but I didn't like it.

Nothing that can be done about that Royse...unless 3A goes split divisions like 2A and 1A it probably won't happen...it's hard for 3A to take 4 to the playoffs because there are so few teams...the ONLY way 3A goes to four teams is if they increase the ratio but then people would complain about the ratio being too high...if they go split divisions people complain about travel....so in reality this is the lesser of the evils..

I doubt they do a weekend pass...why do that when they can charge you each time...I think it Friday was just ten bucks for two games though...can't remember..

Why not have a 1 week playoff bye for all teams to let D-1 catchup to D-2 schedule so the state games = in days.

Getting the coaches to agree to a mandatory bye week during bi-district for D1 will be a tough tough sell.....UIL could do it if they wanted but I just don't see that happening....

Then you would have the DII guys complaining about not getting a week off.... to heal and rest up their players....

Exactly...you are going to piss someone off either way...its a headache the UIL would rather not have....


My solution is just expand 3A some and take 4 to the playoffs...but of course you'd have the enrollment whiners come out of the woodwork on that one...

I'd only take two teams to the playoffs.... But $U$I$L wouldn't go for that.
