i've always wondered...

is it best to have 8/8 returners from a 2-8 team.....

or

2/4 from a 8-2 team???

which would excite/depress a coaching staff/fan base more???

which would excite/depress a coaching staff/fan base more??? Sinton fans were excited few years ago after a 1-9 season with returning starters like you mention and they turn that 1-9 season from a year before to a 12-1 season. The important thing is if they're a tradition rich program that usually produces winning seasons, its very likely they'll do it again the following year with whatever amount they have returning, the winning attitude ground work has been layed for future players to aim at.
