They will do great until they run up against East Texas Speed...

Defensivly Celina should be strong as usual, I do think it will take a couple of games for the defense to lock in. The starters this year that didn't start last year got alot of good playing time last season so that should help. For me the biggest ? On defense will be on the dline. Both DE graduated along with all the DT except one. I think there is plenty of players to choose from just don't know who will start. Linebackers and secondary should be real good with alot of speed and some heavy hitters.

Offensivly as stated on the first post a big oline even though one of them is leaving I believe there are some very good players to choose from and the kid that I think gets the nod is not exactly small at 6'3 265. Qb will be the more typical Celina qb dual threat good runner and passer. Runningbacks are all legit and quick with Jamark Simmons a 1200 yard back returning. Also i think Celina will bring back a bruiser fullback "Josh Raulerson" at times to destroy the linebackers. Wide outs are burners and will be a deep threat big time.

This will be the fastest Celina team I think I've ever seen so not to worried with the east Texas speed since there are two legit 4.5 guys on defense and two or three 4.6 4.7 guys.

I think we did OK against that "East Texas Speed" at the Regional Track meet this year. Winning all 3 relays is not TOO bad! :wave: :stirpot:

The REAL East Texas speed is in 2A and 1A lol

Track has never been a strong suit for us. I am not sure why...started to say it was baseball, but not really. Football is the King for us and the East Texas Speed is a lot more that runing in a circle.

I agree. there are track studs who happen to play football...... In our case it is the other way around. There are football studs who just happen to be track studs too.

Lovejoy is the focus this year.....no game matters all year except to get ready for Lovejoy....

THEN they will work to handle Henderson, which like Lovejoy is about twice as big as Celina....
