I care about him. It doesn't matter what sport it is, its not everday that a young man with this much talent comes along. He is built for the NBA. If you look at all the other players that have came out of HS to the NBA, their bodies were not ready for the physical play in the NBA, I think Labron is. Now granted last night he was playing against the Queens who really dont play much defense. I am really interested to see what he will do against some of the more physical teams in the East. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that he will take the Cavs to the playoffs this year.

He is great right now and is going to get better. I bet Cleveland gets some good support for him and becomes the next LA or Chicago. Plus any old vets who don't have a ring but want one before retiring. Move to Cleveland. Forget LA.

Well, pretty soon he will be flashing the bling bling and making ridiculous demands........hope the owners of the Cavs have alot of money to keep him happy!! He should have gotten a college education first.

college educations are way overrated. The only thing that they really do is help you get a career that pays better than jobs you can get without the education. One contract from a professional team can make most guys set for life. Four years of college for the opportunity to get a decent job, or one guaranteed contract that will take care of your family for a couple generations? I'd take the money every time.

What happens if he goes to college & has a career ending injury? Sure he has a college education, but not the one thing he was probably passionate about. AND not to mention STUDENT LOANS!! eek!

ALL I GOTTA SAY IS THAT HE WILL NEVER BE #23!!!!
EVERYONE TALKED ABOUT KOBE AND ALL THESE OTHER YOUNG PUPS QUESTIONING ARE THEY GOING TO BE BETTER THEN JORDAN. THE ANSWER IS IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN, MJ IS THE BEST AND ALWAYS WILL BE... :D

Yeah, who cares about Lebron! And whoever has him in the fantasy league why don't you just dump him. You could always pick up a better free agent. Yeah, that's the ticket...

If you don't mind tell me exactly when you dump him, I'm just curious, you know.

comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges...you've got two completly different players (LeBron &MJ) in two totally different leagues. times have changed since MJ was young...even since he was in his prime. It'll be alot harder for LeBron than it was for MJ due to the advancements in everything...but do i think that LeBron James could be better...yes, i do. that kid was a men among boys in highschool, the same way he would have been in college. Now he is a man among many men, and its time for him to shine.

jordan isnt the best that has ever played the game... are we forgetting Magic, Bird, Maravich, Worthy, Abdull-Jabar, Walton, Willis Reed... do i need to go on? Jordan was the best player in the league at that time... but isnt the best ever... sure he scored upwards of 40 on any given night, but he also got all the calls because he was MJ... which no one ever remembers to think about...

Why odes everyone think Lebron should have gone to college. Who carea bout the education, he has over 100 million dollars in endorsments.Heck noone would go ot college if they could get that much money right out of high school, or atleast i would'nt go. He will become the next great player in the NBA. Everyone thougth he jump shot was sketchy but he shot pretty dang good last night. He will win rookie of the year.

I think he did the right thing....if for some unknown reason he doesnt work out in the NBA (injury or turns out he sucks) he has tons of money now to pay for college and live off of....i'd love to start my life w/ millions of dollars like him instead of being thousands of dollars in debt...

It truly is hard to fathom...I mean think about it...he's 18 years old...and playing in the NBA...some 18 year olds have their last year in varsity basketball, football, or other sports. Not to mention he signed what a 90+ Mil deal wit Nike...OMG...some of was won't even come close to ever making over 90 million in our lifetime.

God gives some of us specials gifts, and we should be greatful for that. I hope he realizes that being that good isn't a fluke.

I think that if I was Lebron I would of still went to college. I mean, imagine getting to play college ball for someone like Coach K at Duke and lead them to a national championship. I'm getting excited right now just thinking about March Madness!!!! :p :p :p :p

WELL , THERE WERE OTHER GREATS... BUT, WHAT ABOUT ALL THE CHAMPIONSHIPS AND PLAYING WITH SICKNESSES AND FACING OBSTACLES LIKE LOOSING YOUR FATHER. YOU ALSO HAD DOUBLE TEAMS ON HIM NIGHT AFTER NIGHT.. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER JORDAN :D
