Unusual things fans do to support/fire up team

Our town needs a LOT more spirit for the increasing number of fans who show up. The band rarely plays like it did when I was in school in the early 80's. We used to throw dry burnt orange and white rice, but I don't see many noise-makers like Stephenville shaking nails and rocks in navy blue and gold coffee cans, etc. Others copied that, but it's no long original. Any thoughts?

Get your paper to post an article urging fans to wear team colors.

One thing that may help, actually sitting with the fans of the team & starting a chant or two.

Or could do what an 'ol senior class did once, carry cans of "Orange Crush" with rocks in it to rattle... just keep em off the gym floor. :p

It seems like in 83 ro 84, the band had a really good drum section. What happened since then?

Good one, Grad85 (lol). Wish all the other schools it the district could say that (hehe). Wonder why the band and drums don't jam like they did in the stands back in the early 80's. It kept the crowd pumped...

They try. This group of kids are not bad, they had to emerge from losing a big senior class last year and they are still timid.
