Question for Referees/ Umpires

I Have umpired Pony baseball for several years even though I took a few years off while kids were busy in school. I would like to start refereeing football this fall starting with peewee or sub varsity while my youngest is a senior so next year maybe can do move up to some varsity. My question is who do I talk to about getting started, and what are the initial costs and also potential income?

Contact your local TASO Baseball Chapter (get this contact info from your HS baseball coach) if you want to do high school games. You'll have to pay local chapter dues and state dues. Usually around $70 total for both.

Income will be based on the amount of games you call. I believe the current TASO rate is around $45/game.
