Why would Gilmer and Atlanta play on a Thursday?

If Tyler has their classic, which Ive maybe-maybe not, then it will include Week One games not Zero week..

That is unless they change their minds again.

That's puzzling to me also, but the Thursday night game doesn't bother me. I don't know why, but the Rose Kickoff Classic alternates between Week 0 and Week 1 each year. Why can't they schedule the games for Week 0 every year, and make the agreements with the teams involved good for two years home and away. I'd love for the Buckeyes to be the Thursday night, Week 0 game in the Classic every year.
