3 of the top nine from district 16. Talk about a tough district ouch!
There isn't even one team from region 1 in the top nine, but I don't know who in region 1 would be better than anyone in that top nine.

DCTF hasn't actually published their own poll for years. It uses the Padilla Poll. They just don't tell you that is what they are doing. I'm sure Matt will concur. That is another reason that I am looking forward to TOC magazine. You won't be able to get their information anywhere else.

Besides that, another reason I prefer FNF over DCTF is that teams can get customized covers. Some of them looked sweet last year.

Im really shocked at 5a, which is where most of the DCTF love usually goes.
Arlington Martin, Denton Guyer, and Abilene Cooper are losing the freakin' house. Coppell will still be strong, but not top 10 strong. Skyline wasn't very good last year and are losing the house from that squad.
5a and 4a are usually the only classes that get much love. Kinda weird.

I hope your right MGAR. CH crushed Carthage last season but Carthage just kept getting better and better week to week. The team we played is not the same team we saw play for the Championship. CH will be stronger this year. Finally got some good depth in the trenches and return most.

Chapel Hill is going to demolish 3A. One of the best 3A teams I've seen (and they lost in the championship.... so that must really say something about Henderson), but they're returning nearly everyone. I wont be shocked if they go 16-0.

In 2 years he has 22 interceptions (11 as a soph and 11 as a jr.), two of those he took back for touchdowns. Last year, he also had 3 forced fumbles and 13 pass breakups.

He also ran the ball 11 times for 160 yards and a touchdown last year and had 29 catches for 477 yards and 10 touchdowns. Oh, and when they kicked it to him, he averaged 31.6 yards on kickoff returns. Didn't find any punt return stats, but that may be because teams typically kicked the ball out of bounds.

And he's only about 5'7" 150

I thought Coldspring had lost the bulk of their team?...impressive they are still ranked so high.

lost 2 lineman, middle linebacker and the rb cummings that had such a great year....qb was a soph last yr, undefeated JV team moving up....sherman gilbert at rb is back, he had a better per carry average than cummings.....several br's are back, including that one fb that hurt you guys when cummings came out in the 2nd half.....it might take two or three games to get going like last yr, but thank goodness kirbyville graduated that passing combo from last yr or things could get bad....

i think you guys a notch ahead of us is where id put yall, too....have fun this year....

What? No love for Burnet? As usual, Burnet get's no respect...yet they were one QB mistake from winning the district championship. True, LH had a great defense that held Burnet to 13 points, but nobody bothers to mention (cept me) that Burnet D held LH offense to 10 points. The pic for a TD was the district championship play. Our QB was very upset and acknowledged his mistake. He is on a mission to redeem himself this season. He'll have two fast horses to tote the ball but the rest of the team will be very young. I would expect Burnet will challenge for the district championship again. They always find a way to compete. And, with Lampasas returning almost all their starters, they're gonna have a chip on their shoulders. So, watch out for them....
