As some know I got laid off last month so I've been looking for a job and i have decided to apply for a Chief of Police Job so I need all the luck I can get. I've never been a chief but have been a SGT. for the last 3 or 4 years so I decided what the heck might as well try.

Ive been off for a month now and drawing unemployment but the unemployment doesnt come close to paying what i was making. We have some money saved that we are gonna pay my truck off with and i have taken my retirement out so we can pay my wifes car off. When we get those paid off we will be ok but right now its a struggle. Honestly after i get the vehicles paid off i wouldnt mind sitting around until after football season because i think the Bobcats are gonna be pretty dang awsome this year and i would hate to miss the games, but hopfully i can get the chief job and work during the days so i dont miss the games or atleast find a day job. At this point im not opposed to getting out of law enforcement.

Yes, good luck but even more, wishes that the position is something you like if you do get it. Small town police chief jobs can be pretty political.
