Ok, it's kinda slow. Try this.

New Orleans Saint RB George Rogers when asked about the upcoming
season: "I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes
first."

Here's another one.

Shelby Metcalf, basketball coach at Texas A&M, recounting what he
told a player who received four F's and one D: "Son, looks to me like
you're spending too much time on one subject."

I got a million of 'em.

And, upon hearing Joe Jacobi of the 'Skins say: "I'd run over my own
mother to win the Super Bowl," Matt Millen of the Raiders said: "To
win, I'd run over Joe's Mom, too."

One of my favorites,

Running back from San Antonio was being interviewed by a TV station and was asked, "Which college are you going to play for?"
He said, "UT or A&M.
"Are you going to major in Physical Education?"

"Nope. PE"

I think it was a Judson RB. :p

Amarillo High School and Oiler coach Bum Phillips when asked by Bob Costas why he takes his wife on all the road trips, Phillips responded: "Because she is too damn ugly to kiss good-bye.”

With this post I become a varsity member, so I figured I'd make it a good one:

"Sure there have been injuries and deaths in boxing - but none of them serious"

Ok, I know this isn't a "famous" quote, but I did find it to be pretty funny. As I writer for the high school newspaper, I was covering tryouts for something that will go unmentioned in case people from Forney realize who said it. But anyway, I asked what tryouts were like, and this is the response I got:

"It's like doing a solo -- by yourself!"
