James Arness who played U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon on "Gunsmoke" dies at the age of 88. It's a sad day, and he will be missed. R.I.P., Marshal.:(

His first movie (I think) was a supporting role in a Joel McCrea movie called Stars in My Crown. Mr. Arness plays the older son of one of McCrea's friends who is reluctant to come to Church. His friend was played by Alan Hale whose son was to be the skipper on Gilligan's Island. Miss Kitty to be (Amanda Blake) plays the school teacher. It is a good family movie. Enjoy!
