We all did some senior "pranking", hopefully harmless, in the last of our high school days. In today's environment, how much tolerance do you think should be given to students for "senior" pranks and the like?

Let them have their fun. The next day it would have all been over. A big deal was made over nothing in both instances IMO.

not sure how a teacher getting a broken finger is not a big deal...I agree the first one was harmless fun..sounds like the 2nd one got carried away

I agree. In the first instance a little cleaning up would fix things back but when you permanently damage property or injure someone that is something else.

tossing around a few beachballs hardly qualifies as a dangerous situation....

hopefully the budget cuts will cause some of those uptights to get fired and kids can go back to being kids and havin a touch of fun as seniors....

my senior prank got us 3 days kicked out of school and we missed senior day at the pool....but no charges were ever discussed....these overpaid teachers and administrators these days need to lighten up....

Maybe, but we don't know the whole story of how the second incident went down from start to finish. It appears that the administration decided to be "preemptive", which in reality, often serves to be "instigative".

Maybe they need to teach that in Teachers College.

Agree , the first one is harmless , make them clean it up and all is good , dont see charges being filed for that . Heck our band used to to that to the directors house every year.

See where the second one might be a tad overboard but think if the Admin didnt make a big deal out of it nothing would have happened.

My senior year we had Field Day were all the grades would compete against each other in different events...

We seniors got water ballons and threw them at the assistant principal which was a mean ex policewoman.

They ended field day right there. Luckily I had to go to baseball practice so idk what happened after that, but I do know that they stopped doing field day after that lol. She was so pissed hahahaha but it was definitely worth it
