What's next?

No hippies or homos?

I mean who on the bus cares about underwear?

Except maybe the guy sitting in the seat with skidmarks. Lol

Neither do I. But if she had on stinky boxer shorts, she would not be allowed on the bus.

Right.

In the "old days" smoking was allowed on the bus.

The old days sucked. Cars got ten miles a gallon. You couldn't buy batteries on Sunday. You had to wear leather shoes all the time. The teachers in highschool were old and they didn't put out. Pinball was three games for a quarter, but you had to work all day for fourteen dollars.

And don't start on me with the "greatest generation" crap either. Everybody dressing the same, acting the same, thinking the same. That sucked.

Sure, we have a ton of New problems today, but so did the "greatest generation".

I will take air-conditioning and HDTV over metal ice trays and square dancing any day of the week.

And most folk's priorities were in order because "convenience" and "comfort" were not that high on the list....

I know you are kidding a lot, but you better go back and take a hard look at how the term "greatest generation" was earned----not given. The first 15 mins. or so of "Saving Private Ryan" may give you a start....

BTW----you're still my favorite "hedonist".....:D

i agree about Saving Private Ryan..BUT the belief that everyone in WWII signed up on their own is false.about 900,000 men were drafted into the army at the beginning and from 1940 to 1947 some reports say 10,000,000 were inducted.

I'm proud to wave the "Old guy patriotic flag" anytime, TxB, and I don't want to make anyone roll their eyes because of it, but most of those drafted guys who landed at Normandy stormed that beach scared completely out of their wits but went forward out of a great sense of duty and love of country and families. Not many had to have a rifle pointed at their back to do their duty.

of course..but I am just saying..those drafted in WWII and those drafted in Vietnam were no different.they did not want to fight until forced to..yet the history paints it as all those who fought in WWII did so for country.and those who fought in Vietnam did not want to be there

Agreed---no one's life is worth any more to America than another because of the war in which it was lost.

You couldn't buy batteries on Sunday; That's why you "Plan Ahead"
You had to wear leather shoes all the time; ?? NOT!!

The teachers in highschool were old and they didn't put out;
Teachers are old in every generation, most boys fron the Greatest Generation concentrated on the cheerleaders more than making out with the teachers...:nerd:

Pinball was three games for a quarter; You can't get anything for a quarter NOW!!

had to work all day for fourteen dollars; a coke was 10 cents not a dollar fity..:nerd:

Everybody dressing the same, acting the same, thinking the same; Only in socialist countries, Russia, China and Cuba....etc.

Sure, we have a ton of New problems today, but so did the "greatest generation". ; More LAZY people today = more problems!!! in this sit on your azz type on your keyboard society.

I will take air-conditioning and HDTV over metal ice trays and square dancing any day of the week;

I will as well but will forever be thankful for the brave men and women that fought hard for me to enjoy my AC and HDTV. Not to many folks square dance but I will go out on a limb and take that over today's rap crap dancing!! Metal Ice trays bring a few bucks at antique stores...just sayin!!
