I don't know if this would be their greatest play ever but in 1966 (I think) in the football game at San Marcos Texas A&I had I think a four point lead with about 20 seconds left and Southwest Texas had the ball at their own ten yard line. Their QB Priestly dropped back to pass and their receiver got open and he threw the ball to him. The receiver caught the ball and outran the defenders for the winning td with 10 seconds in the game.

Texas A&I got revenge next year as the two teams were highly ranked and played in Kingsville with A&I winning on a late fourth quarter field goal 23 - 21.
