Let's not judge the departed. Lots of kids in the late 90s looked up to him. Not too many 1a athletes become all Americans at the D1 level. Brandon did not always make the best decisions but you can not argue about his talent.

Not judging him personally. I was raised there and there is only about two spots that you could safely jump and you cannot miss when you do. North side of the bridge has a shale ledge ..at most a foot deep the entire length of the bridge. The south side is littered with at least two pieces of old farm machinary, one bailer for sure, and several large pieces of concrete four to five feet square from old bridge pillars. They are, at most, covered by two to three feet of water.

If he had never been down under there before, no way he would have known all that stuff was there.
