I'm having trouble tacking down some info so I figured some of you folks might direct me.

I need a spreadsheet that shows me Texas City, 2010 population, 2000 population, County etc.....

Something like that. I can't seem to nail it down on the census website. any ideas?

Do you need it specificially for Texas City or was that just a general example?

Usually Wikipedia has a page for every town that should have all the info your looking for. Thats what I always use when looking for info on towns.

I read in the Navasota Examiner, http://www.navasotaexaminer.com/news/article_954ea914-7be7-11e0-b770-001cc4c03286.html, that the City of Navasota will protest their 7, 042 2010 population count. The city says that estimates should be closer to 8,000.

This data is a little harder than I'm looking for. I'm trying to Piece it all together but it seems like the info would be easy to find in a built format

Town
Town-Pop
County of Town
County of Town-Pop
Town Growth
Country Growth
Median Income
Vacant Home %
etc......

I just new the Census website would have a report builder but apparantly I'm wrong. If they would provide the raw data tables I could combine them but they don't make it easy to work with. The problem with mixing multiple sites, is the naming conventions are killing me. Example.....Fort Davis or FortDavis and even Fort davis....which all give Access Query's a tizzy. Oh well, if anyone stumbles across gold shoot it my way before I dive off a cliff :D

Okay, I think I have all the data in seperate files and am ready to join them and I'm missing 1 key element.

I need a list of every city in Texas with it's cooresponding County. Has to be some sort of Flat file meaning needs to look like Excel/spreadsheet or a list all on one page.

I've googled but can't nail it down.

Try this.

Yep, that one worked pretty good. Save As... text file. Open in Excel, delimited file, then found a way to cull out the county name.

Gonna take a tad more work than that but that's the direction. I have to have City in 1 column and the cooresponding county in 2 column. When I pasted to Excel the cell color for the county came green so I can write a logic statement that will cherry pick and move them over next to the city.
