Went for lunch.

Had the Hero.

It rocked.

Wasn't impressed the one time I ate there. Earl of Sandwich, on the other hand, is amazing.

Firehouse is pretty good, but since me and my roommates are broke we usually go when they have the buy a drink and chips and get the sandwich free thing going on.

Firehouse is good.

I really like Charley's Grilled Subs. They grill the meat right in front of you. That all you can eat for under 10 bucks is something special.

I wasn't trying to insinuate that Firehouse is the best sandwich around. I was just giving them props for making me a good lunch.

They DO smoke Subway though.

Best sandwich I ever had was a seared tuna on French bread at some little dive in New Orleans.

Ate at a sandwich/wings shop called atomic wings in arlington. The atomic sub is awesome however proceed with catuion, it can be extremely hot. But worth it:D

I love firehouse subs... Overpriced? Yep, sure is (for a sub in today's sub market), but it's good. Thankfully I get a card where I work to get a free combo out of it. My favorite from there is an unlisted item, but it's the Sweet & Spicy Meatball..

PPHS is right -- blows Subway out by a lot..

Jersey Mikes is also really good, but they're even more over priced than Firehouse.
