The championship game between the Pro Women's soccer league will be played this coming Sunday between Atlanta and Washington on ESPN2 at 3:00 P.M. You won't want to miss it. The two semis were outstanding. Washington beat Boston by Penalty Kicks after the game was tied after two extra periods. Atanta beat San Diego in a thriller by scoring the tying run with just a few seconds left in the game during stoppage time. In overtime Atlanta scored the winning goal. It was a tough way for San Diego to lose. Mia Hamm the soccer babe will be playing for Washington and Briana Scurry will be playing for Atlanta. It should be a thriller! Don't miss it!

If I am not mistaken, soccer is the way you get your extra points, your field goals, and the reason your kick-offs have direction and distance. Or do the Jackets still kick everything with their toes?

If I'm not mistaken the record for the longest (and straightest) field goal in history was set by a club-footed straight-away kicker by the name of Tom Dempsey (63 yards).

good men's soccer is okay to watch - but womens's ????????? but i do admit i go watch my niece play at UNT - they get to go to Notre Dame this fall!

You know what, your right, but pick a spot on the field say the 45 yard line. Ten kicks soccer style and ten club for a field goal. Who will have the better percentage? Soccer is right in front of your face and some of you dont even know it.

We know it, we just refuse to acknowledge it. Soccer ain't football. Never has been and never will be. (I'll skip the communist sport stuff). The percentages thing is arguable.

Actually the 63 yard is the longest in the Pros. There was a college kid from Sweden who kicked a 69 yarder for Abiline Christian College one year in the 70s.
