My family has friends in Joplin. Most of them were very lucky except for qa young couple married less than a year ago who lost their house and belongings. The destruction is devastating.

Here is video of the tornado as it formed and after it destroyed part of Joplin. The guys filming are part of Reed Timmers chase team from the Storm Chasers show.

Wow! That video is unreal! Prayers to all those affected by this tornado.

Fox news says death toll is at 116. Single deadliest tornado since Flint, MI 1953.

I was in Joplin last Wednesday. I was coming back from Branson. I stopped at that place from CMT that does that show "Trick My Truck". The Chrome Shop Mafia. I wonder if they got hit?

I wondered about them too. We always stop at the station right up the road from there to fuel up and get fireworks before leaving. I think it hit the other side of town but I will try and find out. Here is a link to the story where they interviewed the guy I know from there.
