Bridge City defeated Giddings in two straight games 8-3 & 4-1 and Robinson defeated China Spring 3-1 & 11-2 to set up this Region 3 Semi-Final Baseball match-up. I know the first game will be played on Thursday and two if necessary on Saturday. Do not know a site yet.

Robinson has one excellent pitcher and one very good pitcher. If Bridge City can somehow get it to the thrird game of the series . . . advantage BC. I don't know about BC's pitching. Somebody give us a clue!

Its a tough call but I'm leaning Robinson.

Bridge City spread out the games against Giddings flipping and winning for a Wed, Fri, and Sat game if needed. This tells me they have a pitcher they'd like to pitch twice in a series. I think the winner of this series has a great chance to go on to state and maybe even win it all.

Robinson is clearly good, but I have a feeling this just may be the year for everything to fall right for BC.

This is just the beginning of Bridge City being a very good team each year for the next few years.

Robinson wins the best of three series 2-0 with a hard fought come from behind win over a tough Bridge City squad. First game was an 8-1 pitching gem by Robinson's Chad Hollingsworth. Today's game was a slugfest with Robinson coming back in the bottom half of the seventh inning from a 12-10 deficit to win 13-12 in dramatic fashion. Robinson advances to face LaGrange in the Region 3 Finals and a chance at the State tourney.
