LaVilla and Taft Qualify for 7 on 7 State Tournament

1st SQT of the year took place in the Valley and LaVilla and Taft qualified for the state tournament...

Seems like LaVilla consistently has a good 7on7 team.. I remember one year, about 5 years ago, they came to the Cuero 7on7 and I heard some players (school on the coast that wears red and white/black and their mascot swims in the ocean) talking mess about "those 1A itty bitty boys from the valley" wondering why they were trying to compete with Cuero, Giddings, Rice Cons, Palacios, etc.. Those LaVilla boys had more heart and determination than just about anyone on the field that day. - That was the year the Palacios AD/HC ..................nevermind I won't even go there lol............ water under the bridge

anyway - LaVilla players have my respect..
