I think older folks like me respond more to the emotion and lyrics of our music than younger folks who seem to like more of a driving "beat" and "coolness" in their music.

I like alot of today's music. But it's harder to find super talented musicians IMO. One thing that drives me bananas is these young whipper snapper rock bands that don't have good musicians and the drummer is constantly banging on the cymbals. Cymbals have their place, but to beat on one continuously drives me up the wall. Do any of you know what I'm sayin' here? I seriously think some of the better musicians are now playing with country bands.

No embarrassment there. Neil Diamond is one of the best singer/song writers ever in the history of this country. I grew up on that and Yes it is pretty easy to feel good while listening to him.
