Injured player

I read in passing the other day that a player from Groesbeck I believe had a serious leg injury and required surgery! Does anyone know how he's doing? Is he handling it o.k. I hope all things great for the kid I hate seeing a youngster injured like that!

Due to a tear in a leg artery that was not seen in an x-ray at a small hospital the night of the injury amputation below the knee was later necessary. The small town hospital requested the young man return the following Monday, after the Friday night injury, for an MRI. Unfortunately, blood clots formed over the week-end. When these were discovered on Monday he was rushed to Waco in an ambulance. But, the damage was too severe to save the lower portion of his leg. Is such a shame, but it is my understanding he is very upbeat and in a very good frame of mind. Please keep this young man and his family in your prayers.
