Did you leave a glass of kool-aid in the bathroom under the stairs? There is a trail of ants going back and forth from the kool-aid to the closet. I'm afraid to look in the closet.

There may be ants coming from underneath the stairs but it aint from Kool-aid. You'll get your answer when ETB replies back to your question as to why we were out so late last night.
