Yeah kind of an odd scheduled series. But, on Tuesday at least, won't have to flip a coin as to who I'm going to watch....baseball or softball. Looks like I'll get to watch both the Necks and Lady Necks.

Columbia and Lampasas have a few conflicts going on during the week and the weekend. The only way to accommodate all of the situations was to play a split series.

Not all decisions are made by the coaches involved in the game. Sometimes higher forces intervene and dictate the direction and path of a series.

When Sweeny/Needville met in '09 for the Regional Final, the 3-game series was overpacked at Brazoswood High School each time. I would expect no less this year from this same-district, long-time rivalry.

The crowd for that series in '09 was between 1,500 and 2,000 every game. I expect even more for Sweeny vs. West Columbia.
