Columbia lost to Robstown as reported but I think it may be different when they return to the Columbia's area. Robstown has a great team and great pitching and hitting but Columbia hurt themselves with errors and mental mistakes. If these are corrected I look for a good second and maybe third game.

I sat next to Columbia player No. 11's father and enjoyed watching the game with him.

Man some of those Robstown people are rude.

sorry to say i didnt make it to the game, wife was working so i was home with our 2 & 3 year olds.

What I meant by rudeness is not just some of the fan behavior in the stands but I am am old man and when I was in line for the ticket several of the Robstown fans rudely ignored and me and went right in front of me in the line. There was still pleanty of seats but it was just rudeness to an old man. Then when I left I backed out slowly because a Robstown fan parked her fan and I couldn't see if anyone was coming so I was being cautious and she was waving and upset that I didn't move out faster. Of course if I had hurried and been in an accident I know she wouldn't have helped with damages. I realize that there are some in every town but they have more than their share.

I'm with you 100% on this one. First time we make a Regional Final in baseball and the best we can muster up is a handful of fans. We got home a little after 1am, but it was worth it even with the loss.

Are they upset because they feel they are disrespected or are they upset they have not won a title? there hasnt been many games in any sport i can pick and choose where either team had a player show bad sportsmanship or fans. Think most of the fans of Robstown remember the bad sportsmanship Sweeny football players showed before the game when they ran into the field in that playoff game. All teams will display some sort of sportsmanship bad or good but its part of the game when emotions are high.

The Sweeny boys weren't going to let Robstown show them up like Ingleside the week before.

On a personal note....I wish they wouldn't have done anything.

Back to the topic. Robstown fans are better than they used to be. When I went to school if you got out of Robstown with air in your tires and your guts still in your body you were lucky.:D
