Correction ... Needville vs Robstown Game 1 is 7:30 (not 7:00)

Needville is usually covered on www.kulpradio.com (1390 AM). They were in Victoria for the Sinton series, so I am guessing they'll be back for the Robstown series. I don't see any indication on the website. May just have to click on the "listen live" link at game time.

It's going to be interesting. Robstown commanded the only meeting of the year ... an 11-4 victory at the Brazosport ISD Tournament early in the year. Needville was still pretty ragged at that point having just gotten back key positions from basketball ... but that's just excuses. The team has tightened up since then and is on an 8-3 run over their last 11 games. Nevertheless, Robstown looked very much in synch in their victory and Needville will need to play nearly flawlessly to come out on top.

I remember a very well-balanced team ... pitching, offense, defense ... all strong. Didn't really see any weaknesses and they didn't make any mistakes. Now, maybe that was a game that just got out of hand early and everything went their way (I'm hoping!), but, at least in that game, they were very good.
