You can talk all you want. Brownwood had the fastest times in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 going in. Had 3 horrible handoffs in the 4 x 100 and didnt qualify. We were 1.12 seconds off our time. 4 x 200 relay dropped the stick. That'll do it.

But we did send a kid in the 200m and a discus man. A couple girls also I think.

So Celina does have great athletes? I keep hearing how incredible they are in football without great athletes.
Or is it the program? If its the program why didn't the girls do better than 14 points?
Are the boys that much better athletically than the girls?
Or do parents just move their boy athletes to Celina?

I think this team has set two school records in the last two weeks. They broke the previous school record last week in a tune up event, when they ran a 3:16.54. The old record was a mile relay of 3:17 run in 1970 when Celina was still Class B.

That 1970 group might still hold the school record in the 440 relay, they had a 41 something. I don't know the answer to that.

I think that group won the state track meet in 69 and 70.

I am pretty sure that all of the relay kids with the exception of Ben where here in elementary school. Ben moved here the same year as we did in the 7th grade.

So if they are move-ins they are pretty far forward thinking.

As for the girls I think the SB team is ranked #1 in the state. Maybe girls track suffers a bit when the Sb team is that strong. Plenty of athletic Ladycats!
