If they took the time to bury him at see I doubt they just dumped him overboard to where he gets eaten.

Even if you know the coordinates to the very inch. It would be almost impossible to find the body.

And what would you expect to be left in a few days anyway. Much less, someone would have to search atleast a half mile radius in all directions to find MAYBE the cloth.
