Unfortunately, I dont think this means anything at all. There's 100's ready to step in and take his place, if they hadn't already. Bin Laden is now a folk hero in Islamic world, but that's the only position he's held for quite some time. Some time after the first 3 times he killed Americans was the time to take Bin Laden out. Once the 9/11 attacks happened, I don't think it mattered anymore.

Don't think Obama had much to do with this. UBL was likely more a distraction by staking resources trying to capture a symbolic figure rather than people actually putting operations in motion.

ive watched several new york familes of 9/11 victims interviewed about bin ladins death and not one of them have just said a simple "thank you", they all seem to be trying to teach the rest of us of an issue or two about 9/11 that the rest of us just dont get.....sounds like some people have forgotten that just because the media sticks a mike in your face for 10 yrs doesnt mean you necessarily have wise things to say....

this is a day to be happy, just like 9/11 was a day to mourn, neither were teaching, arrogant days.....wont be many days like this in a lifetime.....:clap: :clap: :clap:

It seems to explain what I already suspected.
As retired military I find it scary to have such an administration is charge of our military and security. I told my wife the night I seen this unfold that Obama appeared to look confused about what was going on. It appeared to me that he was being pushed into doing something he was against. Obviously he didn't want to look like the "bad guy" in the eyes of fellow Muslims.

-the author was not some dude named "Ulsterman" whose entire back catalog of articles are dedicated to bring Obama down (obvious bias and the first rule of journalism is to eliminate bias)

-there were ANY sources. the only source is a White House insider, but this "insider" is telling confidential secrets to a blogger named Ulsterman?

-this wasn't published on a site that also has articles called "Emma Watson Nude at Brown" and "Girls Love Anal Sex"

Look, I can believe that Obama hesitated due to the ramifications of his decision and deferred to someone else to make the choice IF there was some kind of actual evidence for it. I learned in my journalism class not to trust unsourced articles found on blogs that rely on user submitted content though. Until I see proof, I'll stick with the story that can be backed up. But please, if you find real evidence of this, let me know.

Yes I watched the presidential debates, and the thing I remember was the criticism towards GW for getting us the war and how Obama was going to bring our troops home. I was still in the military at the time, so don't think I didn't take notice to that. The reality was the US government have no intentions of leaving the worlds richest oil region. Mark my words on that. Never once did I hear Obama say they were going after OBL personally. I would like to read or see some kind of interview TIME DATED with Obama saying that.

In the first link Obama doesn't really talk about going after OBL, but in the second link there is mention of Obama invading Pakistan to get OBL. So I will give credit where credit is due. :clap:
Wow, I wonder how Obama knew OBL was hiding in Pakistan? :confused:
And if he knew, what took him so long to go after him?

However, thanks for posting the second link because it lead me to this link, which in a way supports the first link I posted.

Incidently Valerie Jarrett is from Iran. No wonder she was against a raid in Pakistan.
