The best mascot not being used in Texas

Can anybody think of any? I've always thought dragonflies and praying mantisssss's are awesome creatures. Mean as hell too! Have you ever seen a dragonfly snatch a bug in mid-flight? I've been tryin' to capture that moment on camera for years.....and have you ever taken a mantis in the palm of your hands? If you raise it up to your eye level, it will immediately turn it's head and look you right in the eye!! A fearless insect indeed. What about our state bird, the mockingbird? That bird don't mess around! Pecked my momma in the head once and drew blood..But, I guess it would be pretty hard to use those names....for example:
Brownwood Dragonflies.....hmmm....just doesn't sound right...or how bout the Prosper Praying Mantids....nah.....or the Burnet Fightin' Mocks.....nope.....well.....I guess this was a bad idea......
Tell you what though, the Progresso Red Ants is pretty cool....

No, but I watch bass jump up and eat dragonflies in mid-flight over the pond in my backyard. That would make a good photo too.

I have always thought that schools should just have a nickname that begins with the first letter of their school name.
