MINEOLA LINEMAN CHALLENGE
Time & Place:
Saturday, May 7, 2011 Mineola High School Football Practice Field Competition Begins (9:00 am)
Registration (8:00 am) General Meeting & Welcome (8:45 am)
Events:
Bench Press (185 lbs for reps)
Truck Push (40 yds. timed)
Farmers Walk (timed)
Team Tire Flip (timed)
1-on-1 Harness Pull
Standing Tire Pull (timed)
Hoop Dash (timed)
Obstacle Course (timed)
Tug-of-War – 5 team members compete. This will be a single elimination bracket. Double points will be awarded. We will seed this according to total points. You may switch up your team during the tournament.
Team Format
Each team will be made up of at least 5 athletes. You may have as many as you want on a team, but only 5 will be allowed to compete in any single event. You may enter more than one team if you wish to have more athletes compete. You may put a younger team in the lower division. Athletes can compete in only one Division.
Who May Compete
Athletes must play on the offensive or defensive lines - no skill position only players. No RB, WR, DB, or QB. L.B & T.E. are allowed. All team members must have at least one year of high school eligibility remaining.
All athletes will respect the official’s decisions and calls.
IMPORTANT COMPETITION information
1. Athletic training facilities will be available all competition.
2. Food and drink will be available all competition. Team meals will be available for our Booster club.
3. All athletes will receive a T-shirt.
4. It is strongly recommended that participants bring cleats as well as shoes (Truck Push is on a road).
5. Gloves may be worn during all competitions.
6. Bench press: Wrist wraps and chalk may be used on this event. Elbow wraps and bench shirts of any type are not permitted. Belts are O.K.
7. A trainer will be on hand for the competition.
8. The Lineman Challenge Director will make the final decision over all events, behaviors or actions of all contestants and spectators.
9. Make checks payable to: MINEOLA FOOTBALL
To maintain the integrity of the event— please enter only players you use on the Offensive/Defensive line.
