Baseball: Mineral Wells now 7-0 in district after defeating Lake Worth 15-2.


In soft ball the Lady Rams defeated Lake Worth 22-3 to complete a perfect 8-0 District season.

Holy mackerel, mwrams---you feel the need to call Bridgeport out because you feel the Rams are not getting enough love on the 3ADL for winning the district in several sports?????

I have offered congrats to the Rams several times before, and stated that I was glad that they were getting their program turned around. I will do it again---Congrats to the Rams---but not because I feel compelled to do so, but because I genuinely recognize that the Rams have gotten things on track and are deserving of some praise.

Bridgeport fans have supported the Bulls in spirit and numbers for many years, both in the winning and the losing years. If the Rams are able to sustain some success over several seasons, I am sure the support will come---however, there is a team called the Bulls which will still stand in their way every year they are in 3A.

Probably more a sign of apathy in the Mineral Wells community than anything else.....at least when it comes to online posting.

FWIW Mineral Wells is a nice town...always enjoy my rare ventures through there...stadium is awesome
