I bet the bees in this attack will turn out to be African honeybees---they are moving further and further North...

They've been in S. Texas for almost 20 years, but reports of attacks/swarms are rare these days.

You don't think the poor ole guy being a thousand years old had anything to do with it do ya?

We had a farmer killed here outside of Papalote in the mid 90's by those killer bees.

I battled them for 5 years in the attic of my rent house. I finally won but those things are dangerous.

I got stung by a Killer Bee on my hand and my entire arm swelled up to the point I couldnt work.
We were on the river at the mouth of the Rio Grande doing beach patrols after 9/11 and walked into an abandoned well house. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the entire wall move, kinda like a wave. Then we all got stung. Then we all got the *&#% out of the there. FAST, VERY FAST.

Very freaky. We thought we were done. As we were running back to the truck, all I could think about was if we got attacked I was gonna jump in the river.

Yea--the man and his wife were in their 90's and I'm sure that didn't help their chances of surviving the attack.

I've heard that if you were to submerge in water, the bees would wait for you to come up. From what I hear, they've been known to wait for several hours.
