IN THE HUNT: Lyford, West Oso, Orange Grove
Unbeaten Robstown is the league champion here. Lyford and West Oso are tied for second with 3 losses and Orange grove is 4-4.
Lyford needs a win Friday at sixth-place Corpus Christi Miller and a Orange Grove loss to Robstown to clinch a playoff spot for the Mean Green. Lyford closes with West Oso on the road but can wrap up a spot Friday if all goes well.

Nothing’s settled in this crazy league with two games left. Zapata is 7-1 in the league, its only loss to Port Isabel. Three teams are two games back at 5-3 in Rio Hondo, La Feria and PI.
Zapata can clinch the league title with a win Tuesday at La Feria. A Lionette win, however, leaves them one game back with one to play.
PI (IDEA, Rio Hondo remaining) and Rio Hondo (Grulla and PI remaining) could be meeting for the final playoff spot in the season finale.
