bottom of the 4th. Been pretty quiet for 4 innings. Rangers are already dipping into bullpin and wlked 1st batter.

Beltre almost took the pitcher head off on a comebacker with 0 outs. The pitcher ducked and fell down. Was kinda funny :D

Dang bang-bang play at the plate. Cruz gets a short sac fly and throws a tad towards 1st and the catcher dosn't get back in time. Perfect throw and the runner is out by 4 steps easy.

2-2 now, headed to the 7th

one heck of a way to get post-padding...post updates of a game that anybody who is interested in it probably has a half dozen avenues where they could keep up with it.

Hate Detriot baseball field, Rangers hit a few in this series that would've left the ballpark in almost any other stadiums.

This was a series that Detroit really needed to win. I still don't like Avila as the everyday catcher
and why Inge is batting 9th is beyond me. But, it's hard to doubt Leyland. Here's hoping
Verlander can get it going and they can recover from their slow start.

And to crazyj and TxB: You two know the Rangers are my second favorite team (T-shirt fan?). I
hate that Hamilton is out for 6-8 weeks. But,
as long as they keep pace with the Angels
until he comes back they'll be fine. Both Oakland and Seattle will fade quickly IMO.

I actually think Oakland might stick around a while with the starting staff they have along with a pretty decent bullpen especially when Bailey returns. I still see them finishing 3rd but I think they will be right there for a while. Seattle will be fading quick.
