Former 3a pitchers Trey Masek (giddings) and Michael Wacha (pleasant grove) squared off against each other in Lubbock as A&M rallied to beat Tech. Both pitchers went 6+ innings and both gave up 2 runs while receiving no decisions. Very good performances by both young men. In Lake Charles, Cameron grad (3a when he played) Brandon Kimbrel threw a complete game to defeat McNeese. Kimbrel went the distance and gave up only 1 run. On a side note, Orangefield's Jace Statum also starts for the Aggies. Good luck to all.

Thanks for the update! I think this is the 2nd time Masek has done well starting but the relievers couldn't finish the job.

Kimbrel was Southland Conference Pitcher of the week 2 weeks ago. Saw him pitch here against Texas State mid march and he only had 1 bad inning but he had a pretty good start.
