Not uncommon at all for 5a schools to field to 3 JV teams and 3 freshman teams. When you have 400+ kids come out for football, it's kinda necesary.
Property taxes won't go up yet. In 2005, the state put a cap on the amount schools can collect in taxes and promised schools that they'd cover their shortfall. That's the reason for the budget crisis.
