Has anyone one heard anything about the status of the football coaching job? I haven't heard anything so I was just wondering if there were any applicants as of yet.

I hope it's Paschall, he left Caldwell after my freshman year in Caldwell... Great coach and it seemed as if everyone loved him there.

Thanks Ernest

Grubbs announced to the students yesterday he signed the contract with Giddings for an assistant principal job over there...so it's not him as some suspected.

Ray Kavanaugh, from A&M Consolidated is also rumored to be in on job. He is a highly successful defensive coordinator who suffered the misfortune of his HC leaving and the new guy wanting "his" guy (who turned out to be Dale Williams). Consol was a consistent play-off winner with Kanvanaugh running the defense.

Former Hornet OC/OL coach Rick Bivins, maybe? Still has ranch outside of town. He is in Victoria with his old Cuero connection.

I heard last night that a female AD from Aldine Nimitz wants to move here and bring a football coach with her. She's supposed to be the 9th rated AD in the state. She's a softball coach that has won 2 state championships. The source seems to be reliable but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
