And Exxon announced today that they made a great profit in the 1st quarter..........
Perhaps Government setting the price wouldn't be such a bad idea. Doesn't seem right for Exxon to make record profits while the price is going up, up, up. They are using the same excuse used a few weeks ago by GE that most of their profits were from overseas operations. I think Government needs to step up RIGHT NOW and stop these tax avoidance games being played by big companies.

How about the Gov't let them drill here. Then its our oil we are buying and not Saudi's and so on. Oh, and that would drop the price of oil almost in a snap. No, that oil would not be available for a while, but the other guys would know it was coming so they would be forced to play straight.

Still gets traded on the same market as OPEC oil, so it goes for the same price. Besides, there is zero issue with supply.

Today I was passing my local gas station and saw that the price had risen 10 cents overnight!

Now it's $3.79!

Crazy.

And usually that gas station has the cheapest price in that area.

Avg price for unleaded in Texas is $3.85 per gallon.

BUT.... Oil has dropped to $102.75 today!

As the dollar strengthens oil prices weaken. Dollar gains on weak economic forecast for U.S., continued high unemployment forecasts and a drop in the stock market.

Oil keeps hovering in the upper $90's per bbl. Texas average gas pricxe is $3.687, still tough on the pocket book!

Filled up with diesel last week in Dallas. Bought it in Tyler last night for 25 cents a gallon cheaper.

So, with Goldman-Sachs predicting last week that oil will now go to possibly $145/bbl this summer and gas to $5/gal, what will happen to the economy if this scenario proves true?

The place by Hinze's BBQ off the freeway was $3.56

On station in Beasley On 46 head to Rosenberg had gas for $3.38 on Sunday somebody told us
