If they don't win the division then they will miss the playoffs completely. Unless something changes drastically it would take 95+ wins to get the wildcard spot.

You seem to be forgetting how competative that AL East is going to be and therefore only the division champ will come out of there.

again..while the top wildcard winners have had 95 or more wins it did not take that many for them to win

last year NYY needed to win 90 games

in 09 Boston needed 88

in 08 Boston needed 90

in 07 Yanks needed 88

and I think this year the East as a whole steps back..TB is a shell of a team and the Yanks have a ton of questions..and we saw with Boston, they can score but pitching is a concern
