A lot of people are writing off the Angels this year...they concern me quite a bit as a Ranger fan. Their lineup doesn't look great, but they have the ability to go out and add offense if they need it, and their pitching is still above average.

I think the AL West will be a very tight race and that Oakland, LA, and Texas will all finish within about 4 games of each other.

the playoffs? Sounds like a great season to me. I hope you're

The Yankees pitching is in shambles this year. Outside of CC, they've got four relatively unknowns in the rotation (though I do like Phil Hughes) and their middle relievers are just awful outside of the closer and setup man Rafael Soriano.

The team is getting older, and A-Rod and Derek Jeter both took steps in what looked like the start of their career declines last year.

I think the Yankees will hang around just because they still have a ton of talent, and they can still go buy players from other teams to remain competitive, but I honestly think they're the third-best team in their division this year.

Boston definitely had the better off-season and Tampa Bay lost
quite a few pieces. I don't think they'll be able to replicate last
year's record. But, maybe they'll surprise me.

I've got a feeling Manny Ramirez is in for a monster year with the Rays, and if he is, they won't miss Carl Crawford's bat nearly as much. I think Johnny Damon will easily outperform what they got out of Carlos Pena last year, and they still have some good if underrated talent throughout the lineup like Ben Zobrist.

And even though the Rays lost Soriano to the Yankees, I'll take their rotation over the Yankees' any day.

the Tigers would've worked out a deal with Damon. I guess
