New turf is almost finished at Mustang Bowl. They are brushing in the sand and rubber in today. It is really looking sharp.

I'm not crazy about the Durham Field business. I realize he donated all the money, and I think its great of him. But he didn’t demand or even ask to have his name in big letters on the field, but the school board just decided to do it. I think a nice plaque or some other way of recognizing and honoring his generosity would have been appropriate.

I can post the pics for you, if you can email them to me.

Nothing is tigger doo-doo proof.:(
However, we only have to let them in our house every couple of years. It takes much of the rest of the time to get rid of the stinch they leave behind.:D

HMMM, I guess I thought they painted the logo on there. That looks like some type of decal or something. Interesting

Maybe they set them in place for a template, cut out whats underneath, then sew them in place?

Looking good and I really like our home schedule this year. All five games should be good ones.

The new turf looks really good...if you look close the yard markers are "shadowed" in black and look 3-D and the trim around the letters in the end zone's looks really nice.

Had field turf installed ten years ago. Unfortunately, the surface
has to be replaced every ten years.

SMU is replacing their turf and it looks almost exactly like this. They apparently have a new kind that does not get as hot that uses green rubber instead of black from tires. Last year in Celina the trainer measured the field temp at over 150 degrees in late August. It actually would melt the shoes and cause the plastic base to come unglued from the upper. We destroyed and brand new pair of Nike Vapors in 2 days and found that the 1st generation Under Armour cleats had rivets in the base that kept them together. All is good by the first game but we have to keep the kids off the turf for fear of burns for the first few weeks.

Easy now. We did play there back to back the last 2 years.

It does look real nice. Lots of improvements to an already nice stadium.

I'll get a chance to see y'alls improvements this year. The last
time I was there was the Monahans game in 0 week and the
place was a mess with all of the construction going on.
